Windyness seems to show a slight trend when compared with latitude. It appears that the further a location is from the equator the more likely it is to be windy. That being said, there is a wide variance in the average wind speeds (from 0 to 25 mph on average) at any latitude. This trend of increased windyness further from the equator is not as strong as the link between temperature and latitude.

As a small sidenote, I could not find a conclusive indication on the spelling of windyness vs. windiness and am using windyness.
